I dont know who remember them days when NBC used to air the"Game of the Week" With Curt Gowdy and Tony Kubiak. Who can remember the Dominance of the Oakland A`s? Not to Mention the Baltimore Orioles back then too. And Baseball uniforms changed to by those Colorful Tackle Twill uniforms and the Houston astros and the Oakland A`s as well. But the biggest mistake was letting george steinbrenner in the MLB business. But those days was making near the end of the era of non free agency. And New stadiums were just begining to tear down some of old stadiums like forbes field,Shibe Park,Sportsman park.Who can remember the Toronto blue jays who came into the league in 1976 were baseballs laughing stock.Plus they had the uglest looking stadium that look liked a minor league ballpark.Man they were terrable but it wasnt long before the oakland A`s took their place in 1979 losing over 100 games with terrable attendance figures.Who can remember the miracle world series win that yaz hit the homer in 1975 to beat the cincinatti reds in game 5 in extra innings.Who can remember that one game playoff between Yankees and the Redsox in 1978 bucky dents homer to eliminate the red sox from the playoffs.I just stop laughing how mike torrez felt pitching to bucky dents homer. But Tom Lasordas Dodgers sure took care of the yankees in 1978 but game 6 reggies interferance got tommy lasorda just a bit uptight on those umpires.Well the 2 world series of the 70s i like to forget was the pittsburgh pirates Both in 1971 and 1979.I think so far 1970s was the greatest decade in baseball history in my lifetime.
how about Joe Carters game winning home run to wint he world series over the philadelphia phillies? that was a huge baseball history moment imo
Dude that was in the 1990s Im talking about the 1970s.
