This slump that the Dodgers are in is killing me.
What happened to all the fire that they had just a week ago.

Throughout the season its been like a see-saw when the pitching was lights out the hitting was horrible.
When the hitting was bountiful the pitching was a mess.
Now I guess they've decided to work together to fulfill one goal and suck at pitching and at hitting.

How bout taking that same approach and applying it to winning.
I am royally irritated man.

And to top it off a look at our farm and we have nothing left to pick.
With raffy surely leaving and kent as well we have no middleinfield.
DeWitt is good but he's not the answer at 2B, he's an excellent thirdbasemen.
We should have kept LaRoche he surely wouldhave taken over third and provided better offense than DeWitt.

I could go on and on but its useless.

I see a season that started which so much optimism going down the drain.

I hear you. This rant is nothing though compared to mine a few months ago about the Mets. You should check it out in the Mets forum. I think it says "This is pathetic".

I think russel is trying too too hard...kid needs to chill he's been one of the best on the team and I think thats weighing him down he doesnt want to suck for the good of the team not for his own good...

the rest of the lineup just looks like they dont have a plan when they go up to bat.
they are also unsure or what they are capable of they're making some horrible swings

the pitching has been hot/cold I think those cold times they just feel they have to do to much with the offense struggling you can't go out to the mound every inning pitching with confidence I mean the thought that if you mess up even just a little and that the offense can't back you up takes its tolls ultimately resulting in those horrible 5+ run outings...

torre is a legend and deserves his credit for what he did in NY and etc...
but he has no idea how to manage a struggling team...
there is no doubt that theres is potential and talent on this dodgers squad....

if there was no talent or potential I wouldnt care that they are sucking but there is talent and potential and I am fucking tired of this shit....

They got scared when the Giants started winning.

The only place I can effectively spill out my frustrations and disappointments on how the Dodgers are playing if you can even call it that.

Im watching the LAD v. ARI game right now.
The DBacks are up 8-3.

The only good thing ive seen from the Dodgers has been DeWitt's Rbi single.
Kid came in wanting to do something ripped the first pitch down the line, and then got a single to score Manny.

Manny Ramirez well he just showed up did his thing got some hits. And thats about it.
I dnt know whats changed he's still doing his job getting on base and what not why can't the rest of the team keep feeding like they were before.

In Loney's at bat with the bases loaded the kid looked nervous as hell.
He was just up there hacking and thats exactly what he did he just saw a pitch in the strike zone and hacked. He wasnt looking for his pitch , he complained about the first strike.

Nomar made 2 errors. Nuff said.

The pitching is well not necessarily weak, but not good, just ordinary batting practice. The pitchers can't seem to find a way to finish batters off strike them out. I know their trying but I can't see it.

Joe Torre is not the right fit for the Dodgers. The guy is not a hands on coach. The dude commands respect and thats bout it but the Dodgers need a coach that will light a fire in the kids. That will get in their faces but also understand them and help them learn. Torre is the kind of manager you want with a group largely composed of vets guys with 5-6 seasons under their belt professional players.

Dodgers need a coach that will help develop. Who is witty enough to manage a team with large flaws that has an idea on how to fix the flaw and how to go about it.

I wish we had Mike Scioscia.

Yeah 8 games is a little rough, especially since even 4-4 during that stretch wouldve put them within at least 2 games of Arizona. Yet somehow I still think that they will take the divisio. Arizona just doesn't have it for me. either that or the Rockies do their work again.

Why? It's part of being a fan, you have to take the good with the ad. Once the dodgers clean house by kicking out their GM and Torre they could be back on track.

But I understand completely its part of being a fan and I wouldnt change anything not even the suffering because when your team can make a comeback kind of like the Rockies did it makes it all the more sweet to experience.

we just got swept by the Nats... we had a 4-3 lead in the 8th, then Bobby uses ELMER DESSENS as the set up man, the Nats win 8-4, no wonder we can't win

I know its only 2 games but I consider it a streak since we were in a 0-8 streak.

Plus we beat 2 legit pitchers. Even success in small increments makes a difference in my day. Hopefully its enough to propel these guys into the postseason.

Things are looking up. Haha. We just need to pickup an offensive minded middle infielder to replace Kent.
