TheHugeUnit - August 25, 2008 02:27 PM (GMT)
K-Rod signs with the Tigers
Mariners sign someone like Tim Redding to a 5 year $70 million deal
CC signs a record deal for a pitcher with the Yankees
Tex signs the thrid $200 million contract in baseball
The Red Sox get a catcher from the Rangers and still sign V-Tek to a two year deal.

Bo_ - August 26, 2008 09:09 PM (GMT)
Twins sign someone nice who smiled really wide for his MLBPA picture. Either that or we resign Punto.

zackboomer - August 26, 2008 09:28 PM (GMT)
Jays sign CC and Sheets and Burnett takes his option year.

Roto is:

Halladay
CC

Tex Signs

Holy crap. That roto with an average offense would actually make the Blue Jays players.

Predictions:

CC is OFFERED record-breaking deal with Yankees, but signs with Dodgers because he likes to hit and seems to enjoy treating the NL like a little-league line-up.

Sheets will go to...yeah, not sure yet -_-

K-Rod will go to the NL after breaking SS Saves Record, but failing to close out ALCS against the Rays,

Tex will go to New York, after they completely ignore Giambi and Abreu. On the Yanks, resign Pettitte.

Varitek will expect Posada like contract, but will either settle with lower, or retire.

Who else important is a free agent?

Mariners sign someone like Tim Redding to a 5 year $70 million deal

This is sooo right.

What will happen:

First, the Mariners interview GM canidates such as Depodesta, Kim Ng, and Antonetti.
........and sign random nintendo employee with alzhymers. Or Steve Phillips.

The Mariners interview legit canidates for manager.
.......and sign Dusty Baker.

ORRRRRR: announce that they are "happy with the current management and moving forward".

The Mariners take serious look and have serious talks with CC Sabathia and Ben Sheets.
........and sign Ryan Franklin, Odalis Perez, and/or Tim Redding for contracts equalling north of 60 million

The Mariners decide to build from within to contend in 2010.
........and then spaz out and trade Brandon Morrow, Jeff Clement, Wladimier Balentien for "PROVEN VETERANS" such as Livan Hernandez and Carl Pavano!

The Mariners wake up on a sunny Seattle winter day (this scenario is ALREADY unrealistic) and decide to go for a nice walk on the beach.
........and sell the Mariners to Oklahoma City for a box of Pokemon trading cards and a Miguel Olivo signed baseball.

I have no clue who Tex and CC are going to but I would be pretty amazed and pissed off if both went to the Yankees.

K-rod's goin to the Mets, Sheets to the Cards, Furcal to the Jays, and Salty/Teegarden/Max gets traded for a decent starter like Cook or Beuhrle.

Mets Rule - August 27, 2008 05:57 AM (GMT)
K-Rod is going to the mets. Honestly, that's all I care about, but I think Tex will stay west. CC to the Yanks. Sheets? Idk.

TheHugeUnit - August 27, 2008 01:15 PM (GMT)
Yu Darvish slipped my mind. Anyone have any guesses on him?

I'll say the Mets win him on a bid of $111,111,112 dollars and sign him to a 5 years $60 million deal.

Manny wants you to think he's important but everyone else in this thread has done a GREAT job ignoring him...and Barry Bonds.

Furcal to the Jays

If J.P. is not fired and Cito doesn't get his way then yes, unfortunately this might happen.

Barry isn't a person anymore....lol

Manny will probably have to sign with an AL team to DH. I would think he'd reach out to the Yankees, but will probably sign with the Mets, cause of Omar's fascination with Latin players.
