| 08/05/2008 3:25 PM ET MLB.com The official logo of the 80th All-Star Game was unveiled Tuesday afternoon by Major League Baseball, the St. Louis Cardinals and the city of St. Louis. The game, which will be played at Busch Stadium on July 14, 2009, will be the fifth All-Star Game hosted by St. Louis. The official logo of the 2009 All-Star Game features the classic St. Louis Cardinal perched on a baseball bat beneath the iconic Gateway Arch. Previous St. Louis All-Star Games were played in 1940 and 1948 at Sportsman's Park, in 1957 at Busch Stadium (the renamed Sportsman's Park), and in 1966 during the inaugural season of Busch Memorial Stadium. The last All-Star Game played in St. Louis 43 years ago was a classic, started by the Tigers' Denny McLain and the Dodgers' Sandy Koufax. Maury Wills' 10th-inning single delivered a 2-1 win for the National League on a day when the temperature reached 105. The American League triumphed, 6-5, in 1957 and 5-2 in 1948. The 1948 game featured a home run by the Cardinals' Stan Musial. The first All-Star Game in St. Louis was a 4-0 NL win at Sportsman's Park in 1940. Official All-Star Game merchandise went on sale Tuesday at stlcardinals.com and the team store at Busch Stadium, which will be the exclusive outlet in St. Louis for the next five days. |

| I love the Cardinals stadium. I went to a Cards-Reds game last year in St. Louis. Should be a great All-Star Game. |
