According to SI.com's Jon Heyman, the Dodgers are back in on the Manny Ramirez talks, but they're offering Andre Ethier, not Matt Kemp.

This after Heyman said last night that the Dodgers had made it clear they were willing to trade Kemp for Ramirez. The Red Sox would surely prefer the right-handed hitter and are likely to hold out for him.

If the Dodgers were able to land Maddux and Manny today, I'd say they'd have a pretty shot to win the NL.

According to Jayson Stark, Maddux seems unlikely:

I could finish that sentence with so many totally off-the-wall, outlandish, completely idiotic comments that are so ridiculous that Heyman had to make them up himself.

Instead, I'll just say that seeing that prefix to any sentence is a good indicator that you should run away from it as quickly as possible.

A source told SI.com's Jon Heyman that not only are the Dodgers not offering Matt Kemp for Manny Ramirez, but that they're looking to part with prospects instead of Andre Ethier.

So both Andruw Jones and Ethier could ride the pine for the rest of the season? That makes little sense. For what it's worth, Heyman says Ramirez has approved deals to the Marlins, Dodgers and any other team.

Pirates outfielder Jason Bay is headed to the Red Sox. The Pirates will receive Andy LaRoche and right-hander Bryan Morris from the Dodgers and outfielder Brandon and releiver Craig Hansen from the Red Sox.

Red Sox will pay the $7 million left on manny's contract.

The Dodgers don't make a trade like this unless they're sure that Manny will want to be in Los Angeles and they have two options on him which they will then pick up. So much for any chance the Blue Jays would've had in signing him.
