Title: MLB should get real serious with steroid issue

Some Players are at the peak breaking another home run record. After 500 HRs you get tested every 2 to 3 weeks keep en eye on you. If you hit 45HR you also get tested every 2 to 3 weeks. If you steal 50 bases you also get tested every 2 to 3 weeks. And the same as 30 game hitting streak so that way you dont cheat to break em records. If youre caught heres the possibilities.

1st offense 60 Day suspension with an $15,000 fine
2nd offense 1 year suspemsion and attend a drug rehab center.$25,000 Fine.
3rd offense.Banned from Baseball

And ill bet you players would be very careful what theyre using.

th 30 hitstreak is ridculous... as is staling bases. the others arent totally crazy.

KeepTheFaith - July 17, 2008 04:00 PM (GMT)
so steroids are a-ok as long as you're not breaking records

sounds good

Tribe No 1 Fan - July 17, 2008 06:06 PM (GMT)
Yeah, all of the homerun hitting, base stealing players are on steroids. If you're fast or powerful and on pace to break a record, you must be on the 'roids.

steveox - July 17, 2008 06:22 PM (GMT)
My idea is make them be careful. Cause if you gonna break those records you better not be cheating to get em or youre gonna be serving suspension for a long time.

Well with this new fuckin shit they've made the steroids are undetectable in tests. So what's testing them 50 million times going to do if they're undetectable?

steveox - July 17, 2008 09:23 PM (GMT)
The fact is Bonds cheated to get 71 Homers and 755. And the game is ruined because of that. Players think they can get away with anything. Like Sosa 600th homer can't be proven he did steroids. And Younger players are starting to hit 600th homers then players 20 years ago. The thing is MLB has to do something. Maroin Jones was stripped of her Gold Medals for cheating. Now MLB needs to make their policy a lot more stricter so players would be very careful to think about cheating for those records.

I'm glad you care more about preserving the records of past players than saving the integrity of today's game

I would say accountable players holding the more important records is part of the so called integrity

you can't just "save" the integrity by flushing out the steroid users. when has baseball or any other professional sport had any semblance of integrity? these owners could have easily found out about any of the juicers on their team but they turned their head because the so called integrity of baseball is only cared about by the people who watch it. everyone inside of baseball is thinking about the bigger picture like any other corporation. the commish is in it to make money, the owners are in it to make money and so is damn near every player and the sooner people realize this is when everyone will stop talking about baseball like some holy church which must be pure and treat it like what it is - a fucking game.

Damnit steve, what's this again? Do you realize that people who use steroids usually aren't exactly the fastest? It's damaging to your knees. The rest, I must admit, is decent posting (?) By steveox (?)

What the hell is going on here? Steve actually making sense, AMAZING! Even a caveman can do it, I guess.

Jesus Christ Soxfan, I can't remember steve being a mod, but I think that it's best it's never mentioned on this site again.

Shit, I do remember steve being a mod, Hahahaha, what a joke that was...

I'm just saying if you want to get rid of steroids, you get rid of all the steroid users not just the ones that break records.
