Title: Mike Pelfrey
Mets Rule - July 8, 2008 02:40 PM (GMT)
He's been fantastic lately. His fastball has much more movement on it, his slider has a sharper break to it, and his control is better. And it's showing in his stats, and could probably have 10 wins by now.
I look forward to his starts the most, because he's got nasty stuff, and can be dominant based on his pitch location. Can't wait for him tonight against Lincecum. Those are two good young pitchers.

Another dominant start tonight:
7 IP, 0 ER, 3 H, 5 Ks, 0 BBs

Its the new Pitching Coach. He's been working with Pelfrey and working on his mechanics and all that jazz that pitching coaches do, and Pelfrey's benefiting from it tremendously

Then I love Warthen. Because he's seemed to fix Pelfrey, Perez has been much better too.

I think he's making Pelfrey take a new approach. He's trying to get him to use his Fastball more so his breaking stuff will be more suprising and keep hitters off balance more.

Here's my comeback post, I know you guys missed me. Warthen has done a great job helping Pelfrey , who he already has a good history with in the minors as well as changing up so mechanics with Ollie & letting Maine use his curveball...
Come to think of it, the last time I posted here, Willie was still managing...
