I was listening to the radio on the way to the airport last night, Shapiro said they would try and sign him at the end of the year.

If they can sign Sabathia in the offseason, that would be one hell of a trade.

However, I was listening a local radio station here in Toronto and Gord Ash, the assistant GM of hte Brewers (obvious Toronto connections) stated the the Brewers were wiling to pay extra in order to get the deal done now. He also hinted that the owner, Mark Attanasio, would not only provide a bit money to the budget to pay for Sabathia's contract but also do the same in the offseason to keep him. I was thinking about this just a couple hours after the trade was complete. But in reality, the chances of him coming back to the Tribe are less than 10%. He wants a ton of fucking money.

But how awesome would that be for Tribe fans? Getting C.C,, LaPorta, Green out of the deal? Makes my mouth water just by thinking about it, but I doubt it'll happen. Kudos to Mark if he goes for him though. It's what he should do.
