Title: ERIC WEDGE LOL!

This stud nearly cost us the game last night.

Cliff Lee was pitching a masterpiece, and after he gave up 1 hit in the 8th, Wedge just decided to pull him out. I was upset after seeing him go out to the mound, but after the commecial break, we see RAFAEL BETANCOURT taking the mound in relief.

So of course a 4-0 game with only 4 outs needed to end the game, turns into a 4-4 game headed to extra innings.

Another brilliant move, Wedge.

You misspelled "dunce."

There is only one thing wrong with this Indians' team: Mark Shapiro. Get rid of him and you'll see Wedge, Shelton, and Willis all gone just as quickly. Maybe we would get lucky and Peralta, Borowski, Betancourt, Dellucci, and Mujica would all be shown the door as well.

Whaaaaaaat? You're saying the Indians don't have a good FO? They probably have one of the best in the Majors. You take that for granted. No one ever likes their GM, but if Shapiro was fired, teams would be all over him. I like Antonelli better tho, gimme him.

I think he might be pointing to a lot of the Indians fans are upset over they didn't do anything in the off season, their farm is trash and Hafner sucks(not their fault but meh)

We have a great front office. Trouble is, the weakest link is atop the food chain-- Shapiro. Antonelli and Grant would be great GM's, but until someone finally gets Shapiro out of the GM spot (could happen soon: rumor has it they'll "promote" him to a president/vice president position), they won't get a chance to prove themselves.

All I have to do is point to Shappy's interview with Kenny Roda on WKNR this past week. Things of note:

-"We're not winning because of injuries, and no other reason." Exact quote from Shapiro. "We're still exerting excellent amounts of effort every night...don't have the talent on the field...." No Mark, this team was shitting the bed before injuries set in.

-What would you tell the fans who are so disappointed? "We're disappointed too...there may come a point this year where you have to just appreciate other aspects of the game, and it isn't just about winning... this is still a team worth following, pulling for, and it has many good years ahead of it." Gee, thanks, really encouraging Mark. A lot of nerve telling Cleveland fans it "isn't just about winning".

-The core (he includes a shortstop who hits .220 and has no range whatsoever in Peralta...) is still the core he thinks will win a championship

-Eric Wedge, Carl Willis, Derek Shelton, etc all have his full confidence and he "doesn't even feel the need to dignify it with a response" when asked about firing Wedge et. al.

This team is a joke. This is what we have post-rebuild:absolutely nothing. There's only one thing wrong with the Indians, and it has the initials M.S.
