A press conference is supposed to happen within the next 30 minutes regarding some important announcement. I have no idea what it's about so if anyone has any info post here. Hell, I don't even know if it's in Pittsburgh or Toronto but my guess is that John Gibbons is going to lose his job.

Bad fucking week to be a manager on a underachieving team.

I will start a CITO SUCKS Chant all over in Camden Yards again if I have to! Im still upset Cito has Dissed the Orioles organization by not allowing Mussina pitch in the all star game.And There are Rumors if Gibbons gets fired O's will hire him. Andy McPhal said he would make this move! Better WATCH OUT!!! Cause the Orioles are about to EXPLODE!!!!

Anyways, the press conference will be from Pittsburgh and will start shortly. Blue Jays president, Paul Godfrey was just on the FAN 590 and he says that (I like making lists because they're straight to the point in case anyone is wondering):

• he has not spoken to Gibbons since his firing but plans to do so tonight
• the decision was made last night
• the move was all J.P.'s doing
• he himself (Godfrey) has had only one conversion with Gaston and this was a brief one last night to congratulate him
• plans to speak with Gaston face-to-face on Sunday morning

Jays should promote their Minor League Manager Doug Davis from AAA Syracuse to manage the Jays.
