Even if he faces the minimum the next 2 innings, that's probably about another 24 pitches (and that's if he pitches with Halladay-esque efficiency), which would put him at 121 pitches. He's only thrown over 100 pitches twice in 10 starts. I can't see Francona doing that to his arm.

Dude was throwing 96 at the end of the game, and he threw like 20 more pitches than his career high. I wouldn't at all be surprised if he has "elbow soreness" in the next couple days.
