Title: Would he have done it

Willie Mays was drafted into the army at the end of the 1952 season and missed all of the 53 season because of it. He missed 266 games and ended his career with 660 HR.

Would he have broken Babe Ruths record before Aaron if he wasnt drafted into the army?
