Kelvim Escobar revealed Wednesday that he has a tear in his right shoulder that could require season-ending surgery.
Escobar ceased throwing after experiencing discomfort in his shoulder Sunday. "I'm concerned, I don't know what's going to happen, I don't even know if I'll be able to pitch again," Escobar said. "I'm still young. I'll be 32 in two weeks, but retirement is getting into my head, because it's hard to rehab. I want to be out there playing, and I've done everything I can do to be healthy." According to the Los Angeles Times, Escobar plans to see if two weeks off improve his shoulder before likely seeing a specialist to determine whether surgery is necessary. |
Okay, so they lost their 2 best pitchers for the first month and a half atleast. Claudio Vargas better start getting his Angel pride on.

The bright side here is that I won't be getting anymore trades of Escobar+Fukudome from Nate. It'll probably lower Glavine+Fukudome ugh.
