Fucking idiots. First of all, people are wayyy too crazy to close topics quickly. Delete posts. It was a good topic until some noobs ruined it.

Second, Jayhawk, read posts more clearly before you go fucking cry to the mods. You said you received 4 personal attacks in a row, but go read my post again. I was OBVIOUSLY mocking the people who were attacking you, not mocking you. I was defending you and all I get is an O NOE PERSONAL ATTACK CLOSE!

Here are a couple gripes I have off the top of my head...

People take things WAY too seriously here. Even if I was directing that at jayhawk, who gives a shit? Do you guys tell the teacher whenever someone calls you a butthead at school? Give me a break you fucking babies. I know I'm not the only one that thinks this. People are offended by everything here. And it's funny how this one happened because it wasn't even an insult to him. Also, I've ACTUALLY received complaints from admins for cussing. Uh, c'mon? If you don't want to see swear words, go do day care or something, don't be on the internet.

Closing threads just adds to the misunderstandings as well. This thread wouldn't have existance right now if the thread wasn't closed, because I could have explained my post to Bill in there.

I understand it's fun to close threads I guess. But this isn't nazi Germany, even tho sometimes it feels like it. More often than not, good threads are getting closed. I know what you guys want. You want everyone to go into every thread and agree on everything that everyone says. No disagreements are good, right? No contreversy in a forum makes it boring as hell. Seriously, if there's no arguement to be had, what's the point of coming on here? I find myself losing more and more motivation to post. DHB's not the same.

If this thread gets closed or deleted, as many of my gripe threads about DHB have been, consider me gone, btw. These are serious issues you just don't want to hear.

Gotta agree with co here. Jayhawk, you were not attacked at all in that thread. A couple of people said that they dont care for you, so what. They are anonymous people on a forum that you will never meet. If you honestly think that was a personal attack, you're gonna have a hard life.

When everyone posted in DHB back in the day no one swore no one made personal attacks, no one went around being jackasses. I've looked att he post stats and when people went around saying the admins were nazis and stuff we had about 700 to 900 posts per day. People being jerks to others is what makes people nazis by sticking up for others. I haven't read that thread, but I know people can over react and I'd hate to see CO or JHB stop coming here less over an internet fight.

Its bullshit when people say DHB's not the same, the members have a chance to make it what it was and they don't want to so why try?

To Jayhawk (and others who care): Yeah I wrote all those DHB rules, like the one you mentioned, but I don't think those "personal attacks" your referring to are what I meant Jayhawk. Sure, they may not be respectful comments, but personal attacks seems like going a bit to far.

Then again, I am not a admin/staff member here anymore, so perhaps the rules should be changes if thats how the board feels. Or, maybe that rule should just be re-worded a bit.

If I haven't made it evident enough, I am siding with CO on this, but it's kind of a dumb/unnecessary situation all together.

I have to agree with Mpic. I read the thread and I have to admit that last time I checked, those were not personal attacks.

Why did the staff close the topic? Was it because Jayhawk asked you to take action, or did you really see personal attacks in that thread?

No that's BS, people swore. There are always going to be personal attacks. How the people and admins take them are a different story. Whether or not they actually ARE personal attacks is also a different story.

Even if there are personal attacks, I disagree with closing topics. That was a good topic and I didn't get to finish my point. Delete the individual posts, don't penify the entire thread and everyone.

Sure, members have a chance to make it back to our golden age. But what do you expect from us? People like me and OM and others who have been around forever, we stay the same. But what changes is others. And things that mods do. And a lot of the good old people have left, which is sad. A lot of new people have come back as well, which I'm all for, but it's def. not the same. I don't know what you expect from us tho, THU.

You are trying to avoid answering my question. If there were indeed personal attacks in that thread, you could have easily moved the entire thread temporarily into Staff for editing and then moved it back into the Mariners forum when you were finished.

THU, actually you're right. The difference is, when I first joined here, I would have never started this thread. Not because I didn't think it was right, but because I was a scaredy, suckup little kid who didn't want to get in trouble. I was like 14 when I joined here. Anyone whose been around long enough to see how I post, I always have a respectable response to any REAL issue. Yes, I mock stupid posts like some of Cathy's stuff, and some of your stuff, but it's obvious when I'm kidding.

I think I'm one of the ONLY posters here who actually supports ALL (all meaning most lol) of his opinions with facts. THU you don't, and even JHB doesn't sometimes.

I haven't changed. My arguements may not always be right, but they're always good arguments. I put a lot of thought into that, and if you judge posters by things they say in off topic/I'm Board threads/steveox threads, then you must hate everyone here.
