Moises Alou is expected to miss at least 4-6 weeks because of a hernia.
We doubt it will be four weeks. Given Alou's history, count on six and don't be surprised if it's eight. As things stand now, Endy Chavez will be penciled in as the replacement in left field. However, it seems very likely that the Mets will acquire another option before Opening Day.

I've heard a few names tossed around. Although, with the way Pagan is playing, I'm not sure.
