Stop me if you’ve heard this one, Mark Prior is going on the DL for the ninth time in his young career.
Prior was pitching a game when he stopped and told the San Diego doctor Mark Sherman that he had stiffness in his right arm.
“We knew of Mark’s injury problem when we first signed him,” says Sherman, “It was a gamble that didn’t pay off.”
Many remember him from the Chicago Cubs who drafted Prior in 2001. Prior struggled with injury’s his entire career and never seemed to get better. He missed all of last year due to a shoulder surgery.
