QUOTE
The Denver Post reports that the Rockies have agreed to terms with Manny Corpas on a four-year contract with two option years.

Corpas is expected to receive $8 million in guaranteed money and the deal is said to be worth as much as $22 million if both options are exercised. The second option would cover his first season of free agency in 2013. Giving a long-term contract to a reliever with less than two season's worth of experience is rare, but the Rockies' risk is limited by the low amount of guaranteed money and they'll save plenty over the course of the contract if Corpas develops into a consistently outstanding closer.

The Rockies need to sign him long-term early because they are a small market team and if Manny continues putting up similar numbers, he will be underpaid.
