Just heard on AM 570 here in Orange County, that a possible Morneau deal is being worked on between the Angels and Twins. According to the sports update, the deal would include Morneau heading to the Angels in exchange for Casey Kotchman and Ervin Santana.

I dont know how I feel about this. I still think Santana is good upside, but why would the Twins make this move? Is it because they can't lock up Morneau long term?

I can understand why they like Kotchman but why Ervin Santana lol. They could get whole lot more for Justin Morneau.

It's probably because they do not want to spend money, they've been known as one of the cheapest teams with success.

The Twins should lock up Morneau long term soon. They already let Hunter go and Santana looks like he will be traded this offseason. They already inked Mauer to an extension last offseason. Both Morneau and Mauer are the faces of the Twins franchise and will be for many years.

So help me god if Bill Smith trades away Justin Morneau ill go and burn his house down.

They are but Kotchman is no Morneau.
