RP - Sign Marc Kroon to a 1 year, 3 million dollar deal...(Kroon is a 34 year old reliever that plays in Japan and is looking to give MLB another shot...he was actually drafted by the Mets in 1991...the last three years in Japan, he's put up an ERA of 2.82 with 84 saves, and holds the Japanese record for fastest pitch thrown at 161 km/h, which is about 100 MPH)
RP - Trade Ruben Gotay and Joe Smith to the Cubs for RP Angel Guzman - this trade obviously makes sense for the Mets, getting RP, but the Cubs get a good replacement and a good second baseman who could hit .285 everyday, and play short, and third.
SP - Trade Carlos Gomez to the Twins for Matt Garza...straight up.
SP - Trade Carlos Delgado and Anderson Hernadez to the Angels for Ervin Santana
1B - Sign Sean Casey to a 2 year, 13 million dollar deal
Bench - Sign 2B Tad Iguchi to backup second for 2 years 7 million
