Title: Pete Rose
Description: Yes or No?
Freelancer404 - October 27, 2007 03:23 PM (GMT)
I vote yes, simply because even if you gamble, you play the game. He was one of the greatest players to ever encounter baseball, and he had that taken away from him. I know all baseball players have said "I'll bet that so and so will happen." So should they be banned from the Hall of Fame for that? How is that just?
Pete Rose was one of the greatest players ever. Nothing can take that away from him. He deserves a spot in the Hall of Fame.

I don't like what Arod does off the field either...but that doesn't mean he should be a HoF

Exactly. It's off the field.
Perhaps we should get tons of members and send this to the ol' Selig as a petition.

Absolutely, yes. No one has ever played the game like Charlie Hustle!!
And Edgar, what exactly does A-Rod do off the field that every other player doesn't do??

I can't wait till Selig retires. If not for Gene Upshaw, he'd be the worst union chief in all of professional sports.

Eh, Gary Bettman. Look what he's done to the NHL...

Yes, Yes, Yes, and yes. I don't know how much I can express how Pete Rose should be allowed into he Hall of Fame, because this is how I see it. Yeah, hell he gambled on baseball, but I don't care, he did nothing wrong during his playing career and is hell, one of the greatest players ever! Let Pete In!

Well Selig completely botched the steroids thing. Bettman does not know when to give it up with all the efforts of trying to grow the game down south but all that mess can be quickly cleared up when they move a team to Canada. Not only will they make more money when they covert Canadian dollars to U.S., but at least the arenas won't be half empty.

The thing is he won't let another Canadian team in the league, for whatever reason. Not to mention the the NHL missing a season.

This guys has got a lot of faith that Americans will embrace this game in the States and I'd really want to know why that is. It just does not add up and he refuses to believe that the reason Canadian teams made more American dollars last season (therfore raising the salary cap) was due to the fact that our dollar kept rising.
