A source or 2 is beginning to cry out that the Padres have begun looking into the possibility of funding a hefty-contract offer to Braves' OF Andruw Jones. Whether or not this is true, it is certainly interesting to think. Hell, if he can make some money...a move to San Diego wouldn't be a bad idea at all.

Mike Cameron is a also a FA in 08...which certainly opens up a spot for Jones in the SD OF. Jones hit relatively well at Petco, as does everyone else, but he could be the key piece to an Offense that has always seemed to be struggling for the "big bat".
