The only season in MLB history comparable to A-Rod's beginning and end of 2007 was Barry Bonds' 2001 season. Bonds had 13 HR from September 9th through the end of the season in 2001.
70 home runs seems a reach, but I cast my vote for 61+. Frankly, given the lowered competition he might face with September callups pitching, we might be surprised at what A-Rod might achieve.
