A crowd of 12 White Sox players gathered in front of a small television in the visitors' clubhouse at Jacobs Field following Saturday night's game, watching the final outs of Red Sox pitcher Clay Buchholz's no-hitter at Fenway Park.
And when the 23-year-old, who was making just his second big league start ended the game on a strikeout, an air of celebration spread across the room.
"Yes!" one player exclaimed.
"That was pretty awesome to watch," said another.
The funny thing was, a similar fate nearly befell the Sox in a 7-0 loss to Cleveland in front of 41,131 at Jacobs Field.
