| Rockies acquired RHP Ramon Ortiz from the Twins for infielder Matt Macri. Ortiz isn't the answer, but neither was Josh Towers nor Steve Trachsel. Ortiz had a 5.75 ERA in 10 starts for the Twins in April and May. He had since worked out of the pen as a mopup man, compiling a 4.15 ERA. The Rockies figure to use him as a starter, though he's unlikely to go in place of Aaron Cook on Thursday. Elmer Dessens is still expected to get the nod then. Aug. 15 - 7:54 pm et |
