Title: Welcome back home

Element - August 11, 2007 12:29 AM (GMT)
Well, the past few days have been a little crazy. The solution we've reached is the best possible, I believe. With everyone's help, we can keep our unique community in tact. It will be tough to get DHB back on it's feet, there is no doubt about that, but I believe we can do it. We are now in complete control of our forum, and we can only get better from here. If anyone can make it, I know we can. Our forum has been though a lot, nothing quite like this though. We have survived everything, and I think it is very probable that we survive this, if not come out better than we were before.

Thanks for everyone's support, and thanks to all of you for making this the community it is - we appreciate it.

Awsome Username

I loved Field of Dreams as well. Remember how you ripped the Terrance Mann speech and put it into the 1975 World Series video? Good times *beer* Hope we get the Reserach Dept. back.

I think this is a good test for our board. First it was the software thing, then the Battle of the Boards and now Holwall.

Marlinschamps03 - August 11, 2007 04:22 PM (GMT)
I'm just glad were back in general. Lets start workin our way back to what this board used to be.

Just seen Field of Dreams a few weeks ago like the whole thing, was a very good movie. I think the guy that played Shoeless Joe was great.

I have not posted to the Die Hard site very often in the last year probably, and don't really understand what has happened recently to create the confusion.

I am happy to find my old Die Hard fans here and any new ones. I see familiar SN's and that is all I care about.

CBeltran - August 12, 2007 02:56 PM (GMT)

Is that what inspired your petition to unban him?

They screwed him up in the movie though. He's supposed to bat left and throw right not the other way around...

RedSox9 - August 12, 2007 04:38 PM (GMT)
Wow, seems like so many people have returned as we have gone back to IF, which is really a good thing :)

guerrilla.warfare - August 13, 2007 06:48 PM (GMT)
Just wanted to let you all know that the man formerly known as "ARodEnvy" is on board. I have no use for "corporate BS" & I cannot stand "Sell Outs" if you all know what I mean.

Those that pocketed a few bucks off the IPB site will never know exactly how much they ruined what we all had. Dont get me wrong, we will remain strong & climb back up the ranks, re-add all the same features...but WTF? Why sell?

Anyways, back to the basics it is & even though this IFree forum predated me...I am excited for DHB to be back here & pretty much under it's own ownership.

Party on... *NYY*

TheHugeUnit - August 13, 2007 06:51 PM (GMT)
Good to see you back man, we'll have to add your radio show sub forum if you're still doing that.

PAUL KONERKO 14 - August 13, 2007 11:30 PM (GMT)
Did we leave the IPB DHB because it kept going down?

Oh, I thought of that too. Why couldn't they give him their money back and we get it back?

zackboomer - August 14, 2007 01:25 AM (GMT)
Because they wanted to MAKE money.

PAUL KONERKO 14 - August 14, 2007 01:27 AM (GMT)
We can sue them :)

zackboomer - August 14, 2007 01:40 AM (GMT)
you can't sue someone who sells something they own.

Technically BSDH is the owner. He made the board.

zackboomer - August 14, 2007 01:41 AM (GMT)
yeah but he sold it to holwall

Yeah...I can't stay away. Surviving Selig is still on hold though. Not only am I just getting back into the swing of things, after being away in July, but I have to pack my bags yet again & report to Ft. Knox, Kentucky on August 31st. Only a 3 week trip this time but still...this Army shit is killing for the year.

All part of the job though. In the meantime: baseball..baseball..baseball

Next One - August 14, 2007 04:07 AM (GMT)
Okay, so Holwall and Brad sold it to someone? And the old sight is gone?

Raysfan16 - August 15, 2007 03:42 AM (GMT)
I didn't get it at first, cause when I clicked on the icon it got redirected to some SportsTwo thing. Did that happen to anyone else?

zackboomer - August 15, 2007 03:44 AM (GMT)
um the domain was sold...

Tribe No 1 Fan - August 15, 2007 05:42 PM (GMT)
Okay then...

I think starting over from scratch would have been the best option, don't you think?
