buehlre hands down.

Marlinschamps03 - August 11, 2007 12:07 AM (GMT)

NateFizzle - August 11, 2007 03:27 AM (GMT)
This isn't as of now but out of anticipation for the remainder of the season, Erik Bedard.

TheFranchise14 - August 21, 2007 01:22 AM (GMT)

Switch Bedard with Johan and that looks good. black horse would be Carmona/CC.

Bedard

OriolesManiac88 - August 21, 2007 01:45 AM (GMT)

Rockshu - August 21, 2007 01:50 AM (GMT)
Bedard

webgem924 - August 21, 2007 01:53 AM (GMT)
1. Sabathia
2. Bedard
3. Johan
4. Haren
5. Beckett
6. Lackey

DaeHan - August 21, 2007 01:57 AM (GMT)
Beckett, Santana, or Sabathia. Guthrie and Bedard won't make it, O's will have to get them a lot more wins than that. But personally I'd pick Bedard, he's even more dominant than Santana this year.

LillyRocks - August 21, 2007 01:59 AM (GMT)
Jake Westbrook
Nah, Josh Beckett.

braveschopbraves - September 2, 2007 02:24 AM (GMT)
I'd also put Kelvim Escobar up there... and how does Beckett have 6 votes? Not even top 5 for me....

Well the voters really love wins, so thats pretty much why. I agree, he wouldn't be in my top five either.

I've learned by now to ignore all Yankee fans.

Tribe No 1 Fan - September 5, 2007 08:14 PM (GMT)
Fausto Carmona.

webgem924 - September 5, 2007 08:17 PM (GMT)
I'm still sticking with my 1-2 punch, Sabathia and Bedard

Wang deserves some contention, but will likely be in 5th place imo

steveox - September 5, 2007 10:32 PM (GMT)
Erik Bedard *bananadance*

Like you would NEVER vote for anybody who isn't in "contention" for the Cy young award... *cough* BUEHRLE *cough*

just shut up you're being stereotypical of all yankee fans and you're being a hypocrite.

Mark Buehrle 3.47 ERA, 132 ERA+, 47.8 VORP
Chien-Ming Wang 3.68 ERA, 117 ERA+, 42.8 VORP

So Buehrle isn't in contention but Wang is... oh yeah cause he has more wins!!!!

YankeeBaseball2 - September 6, 2007 02:16 AM (GMT)
either bedard or haren.

Like it or not, Wins are a factor in determining the Cy Young winner

17-6 looks a lot better than 9-9

TheHugeUnit - September 6, 2007 02:29 AM (GMT)
3.47 and 3.68 isn't a huge difference. I'm not saying I'm voting for Wang for Cy Young but I'd take Wang over Buerhle.

Rockshu - September 6, 2007 02:30 AM (GMT)
There's a decent chance Bedard doesn't take the mound again this year so it's down to Beckett, Haren, Sabathia, and Escobar.

Johan does have a 3.15 ERA.................

TheBossMan11 - September 6, 2007 03:27 PM (GMT)
If johan had got some runs he would win it EASY but CC is probly winning it

I think if Beckett gets to 20 wins he'll win it

Mike Lowell is God - September 8, 2007 12:40 AM (GMT)
If Beckett gets 20 wins and somehow gets his era below 3, give him the award. What is Haren's era right now? How many wins does he have?

Abbath - September 8, 2007 01:00 AM (GMT)
I hate to say it, but I think Beckett will win it. If Santana got some run support it would be him again.

Matsuzaka07 - September 8, 2007 01:04 AM (GMT)
Beckett

DoublePlay - September 8, 2007 03:18 AM (GMT)
Is Verlander in the mix at all?
