Can anyone tell me how to do find the hafe life. This is the question-
Using Polonium-214 (Hafe Life of 163.7mircro seconds), how much of 1 gram polonium214 sample remains after 818 mircoseconds. Please help!!!

Well first off, its spelled half. And the answer to the second part of your question is simple, all you have to do is subtract the half life from the total time (in this case 163.7 microsceonds from 818 microseconds). Now once you subtract it once, divide the one gram by two. You now have half a gram left and 654.3 microseconds left. Now continue to subtract and divide until you can no longer take the half life out of the total time.
