I agree. I didn't like it at first but I am glad our new stadium stayed Busch Stadium and didn't get some stupid name that would get changed every 5 to 10 years.

Crz4mets2 - November 13, 2006 01:24 AM (GMT)
They should have named it after MetLife
MetLife Field
MetLife Park
MetLife Stadium
George Castanza - November 13, 2006 02:20 AM (GMT)

It did break ground today. I looked it up on wikipedia.
Crz4mets2 - November 13, 2006 08:25 PM (GMT)
It also says that it will be Citi Field not CitiField.
CitiField is better IMO
Raysfan16 - November 13, 2006 08:27 PM (GMT)
Not much of a difference...
Wait... if they broke ground today, is Shea gone? I looked on that link and it showed part of CitiField is overlapping Shea.

| What about Shea Stadium? |
I think they wanted to name it after a company to get some income...like most of the parks nowadays.

No, it's not overlapping it, it's right over the CF fence...

No, It is behind Shea's CF. (Behind the blechers and the away bullpen)
She isn't a complete circle.
It like 3.5/4 of a circle.
