Title: Acta to be named manager?

TheHugeUnit - November 11, 2006 02:34 AM (GMT)
Mets third-base coach Manny Acta withdrew his name from consideration for Oakland's managerial post because he's about to replace Frank Robinson in Washington, FOXSports.com reports.

A source with knowledge of the negotiations told Ken Rosenthal that Acta's deal with the Nationals is "almost done."

Ok, well in like 500 articles about teams getting new managers, it talks about Acta being a possibility. He has interviewed for almost every team who needs a manager.

Ranger_4 - November 12, 2006 03:12 AM (GMT)
I think he will fit well there. He should have more to work with considering that the Nats should have traded Sori at the deadline last year.
