Hiroshima Toyo Carp: Kuroda has chosen to re-sign with the Carp and not exercise his right to file for free agency. The Indians, Padres and Cubs were among American teams expressing interest in him. The Hanshin Tigers are attempted to lure Kuroda. At one point he was leaning toward signing with the Carp. Because the Tigers were apparently set to announce they have posted their ace Kei Igawa, it appeared they were close to signing Kuroda. Up until Monday, he had given no answer to the Carp's 3-year, $8.5M offer. As a trickle down effect, it is questionable whether Igawa will still be posted.

He is on the M's radar and while I'm not comfortable enough with his skills to sign him - due to him being so much of an unknown commodity - the M's might feel differently.
