Our Physics teacher likes to individualize homework through the internet so I can't cheat on this, so I'm going to need a bit of help. Somewhere in there there will probably be Force=mass * acceleration or Friction=coeff of friction * normal force

1. A 2.3 kg block initally at rest is pulled to the right along the horizontal, frictionless surface by a constant, horizontal force of 14.8 newtons. Find the speed of the block after is has gone 3.7 m. Answer in meters per second.

11. A car is traveling at 41.1 km/h on a flat highway. The acceleration of gravity is 9.81 m/(seconds squared)

A) If coeffecient of kinetic friction between the road and the tires on a rainy day is .128, what is the minimum distance for the car to stop? Answer in meters

B) What is the stopping distance when the surface is dry and the coeffiecent of kinetic friction is 0.565? Answer in meters.

Any help is welcome.

I'd like to help you, but I've never taken physics in my life. Gravity and speed doesn't really interest me...

Neither does it interest anyone else. He's such a bad teacher the curve on his tests is times 2 (50=100).
