Title: A Tut for amateurs looking to learn

Step 1:

Okay…you wanna open up photoshop and select new from the file drop down menu. Make it 400 pixels wide by 150 pixels high as shown in the box below…

Step 2:

Now its time to make your background….stay with me here..go to filter….then when it drops down go to render….then out of the render selections click DIFFERENCE CLOUDS….the first set of clouds may not be that good…use ‘ctl+F’ to scroll through the different clouds till you see one you like….

Step 3:

Now we add a bit of colour to the background…hit ‘ctl+U’ and you will see a text box like the one in the picture below come up….this is where u pic the colour of the background…click colorize In the bottom right corner and scroll the hue bar till you see a colour you like…for this we r using 214…after if oyu like you can play with the saturation and lightness bars to get the setting of your choice….click ok once you have the colour you desire….

Step 4:

Okay now its time to pick the picture you want to have in there,,,for our purposes im using BJ and his wife...there r lot sof good pictures on google images…okay usually the pictures are too big..so get your rectangle selector tool from the top left of the margin and select the whole picture, then hit ‘ctl+T’ and when u see the little boxes appear in all the corners use them to resize it to what works on you sig.

Step 5:

Now we have to drag the picture onto our sig…for this you make sure the selection tool is turned off..to do that you can grab the lasso tool located right under the rectangle selection tool u just used and click it once on the picture….then get the grab tool…iots locad right beside the rectangle selevtion tool and click on the picture and hold it…then drag it over to the signature and let go of the mouse to drop it there..then still using the grab tool position it to where you want to on the sig…I put it in the right hand side for ezample as you can see below.

Step 6:

Okay this is the tough part and the part that most people screw up on…what you need to gdo is cut BJ and his wife out of the background…for this we grab the eraser tool…or the lasso tool…either will do…personally I use the lasso tool to delete large sections of undesired picture and then do the hard close in stuff with the eraser…u can right click when using the eraser to change the size of it if need be..i like to keep mine in te 6-8 range. Carefully cut out BJ and his wife or whatever pic u want to use….and u should end up like the pic below.

Step 7:

Youa re almost DONE,,, now we have to put some text in there….grab the text tool the big ‘T’ off the menu to the left and click it on the sig, you can ove the text around after….now choose a cool font and appropriate font size and something witty to say and type it in…then position it properly on the sig…

Now this was just an easy way to make a good sig but as you get better you can start to play around with the opacity as well as the background. Under the filter drop down there are tones of cool background effects..my personal fav is liquefy and plastic wrap…

Neways guys that should get ya strarted … any questions just ask them below and I will respond or ne other graphics efforts….
