I agree with this list in aspect except 2. I dont Think Ventura is a Hall off Famer. His #'s are ok. His only Highlight is the 16 or 18 Grand Slams. I don't know id he really deserve it. The other thing is not so much me but I don't think they'll vote Piazza in as a Met. I think he should be but they might vote him in as a Marlin. If he is though I would definitly disagree with that. and BTW are all the people on the top list retiring?
Crz4mets2 - October 28, 2006 04:52 PM (GMT)
Close to retiring....
Pizza only played 8 days as a Marlin

You can't tell if they get a career ending injury tommorow.
But the guys above have proven themselves, and had a full career.

I agree with above plus I doubt clemens would go in as a Yankee..he was only here for like 4 years, and got about 60%of his wins with the red sx

why is julio franco on this list? just because hes old doesnt mean hes a hall of famer. hes a fringe player.

He has been a great part of the game.
He would of had 3,000 hits if he didn't have 1 at bat from 1997-2001
Besides he is an around .300 career hitter.

Doesn't mean he does.

So he is a historic player of the game, and deserves it.
He will turn 50 next season!
Older then your Dad! [Longoman]
Jeter4MVP2 - October 30, 2006 01:44 AM (GMT)
he was born in 1958, so in 2 years he'll be 50, and so what if he's older than my dad
