Title: Whats the rotation gonna look like
Mets Rule - October 26, 2006 01:07 AM (GMT)
Next year?
I think it'll look like this (on opening day):
Zito
Meche or Glavine
Maine or Meche
Pelfrey or Maine
Perez/Pelfrey/Humber

Pedro
Zito
Glavine
Maine
Bannister?
George Castanza - October 26, 2006 02:49 AM (GMT)
i would to see them give Humber a shot.
Rockshu - October 26, 2006 03:07 AM (GMT)

It's an 'if' rotation. If y'all get Zito, if Glavine continues to pitch well, if Pedro stays healthy. I'm going to say:
Pedro
Glavine
Meche i guess
Maine
Perez
Mets Rule - October 28, 2006 02:25 AM (GMT)
Pedro won't be back in the start of next year.
classicman10 - October 28, 2006 03:06 AM (GMT)

And the pitching coach.
Rick Peterson was the pitching coach for the A's from 1998-2003...
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/stats?playerId=4233Look at Zito's stats before Rick left, and after.
jaysdude09 - October 28, 2006 01:17 PM (GMT)
wholy shit he struck out 205 people one year wow. If Zito signs with the Mets, he'll be better because of the pitching coach and because the NL sucks.
Crz4mets2 - October 28, 2006 05:06 PM (GMT)
This is how I'm seeing it:
Zito
Mulder
Glavine
Maine
Pelfrey

No, we ain't getting Mulder, but maybe somehow, we can get Erik Berdard from the O's...

Mets are going to have a horrible rotation next year. They won't have Pedro, he will still be hurt, Glavine is way too old to play any more, and the Mets are not going to get Zito, I can tell you that.

Dude, number 1 change your sig, it's stretching the page. Number two, get a clue. There's no way Minaya would let the rotation get that bad. We will get Zito, and someone else, whether it's Berdard, or Meche, or even Harden.
lol, and look at the Yankee rotation...

They seem to get it done. Yea, I would say the Yankees rotation is mildly better considering its the AL and the division they play in.

Replace John Maine with Perez.
But the Mets had a changing rotation all year. Only Glavine and Trachsel had a full year in the rotation with the Mets so you can't compare the rotations.
