Title: Do you think Kenny Rogers should be suspended
Description: For using pine tar?
steveox - October 24, 2006 05:39 AM (GMT)
I think he should be suspended for rest of series plus a $10,0000 Fine.Remember the NFL fined Randy Moss for mooning in green bay during the NFL playoffs.Well I think Kenny Rogers should be suspended plus pay a $10,000 fine for using illegal pine tar on his hand. That would send a message to other pitchers done use illegal stuff on your hand during the world series.

I voted no. I think it is too late now. Even though most people (including me) think he cheated, there is no evidence to be sure that he did.

it was one inning who cares its over with it didnt have that big of an impact, just another way of proving fox sucks
oeshbach? - October 24, 2006 10:32 AM (GMT)
I am starting to get sick of hearing about all this stuff already.
Crz4mets2 - October 24, 2006 10:41 AM (GMT)
Cardinals fan (and steveox) drop it please.
It's been 2 days. Like you told be to drop Beltran, drop Rogers.

this whole is issue is getting so old that its sickening. i have never heard of an analyst who just so happened to notice a little "mark" on kenny's hand, and go ahead and circle it. its a damn joke if you ask me. fox is starving for ratings so they decided to make a big deal out of something that wasnt. and do you HONESTLY think tony la russa noticed it from the dugout? eckstein, spiezio, pujols, rolen, and encanarcion said they didnt notice anything. obviously someone was listening to the telecast and told la russa. if no one noticed it but fox, then why tell the umps about it? he didnt even do good in the first inning with whatever it was any way. this whole thing is getting blown out of proportion, and its overshadowing the tigers win and that pisses me off. did the tigers get 10 hits and 3 runs because kenny used "pinetar"? no. so get over it, move on, and deal with it.

yes
but cheating is a part of USA sports now so............
ROCsox - October 24, 2006 04:48 PM (GMT)
It is absurd to think he should be suspended. MLB has no proof what-so-ever and all they have is a few pictures that show a yellow-ish coloring on his hand. The umpires had no way of proving that is was an illegal substance, so he should not be suspended just because it "looks like" pinetar.

Yeah I know, and Europe and their match fixing scandals are setting such a great example aren't they? Just shut your mouth.

Justin Gatlin joins the glut of american athletes testing positive for steroids
match fixing in italy had nothing to do with the players it was the football clubs suits who were responsible

it was pinetar but he shouldnt be suspended. I mean how does he "just happen" to have dirt on the same spot on his hand?
steveox - October 24, 2006 08:55 PM (GMT)
He should be suspended.Cause if he serves a suspension other pitchers would be a lot more careful putting stuff on their hand.
Ranger_4 - October 24, 2006 08:55 PM (GMT)
I voted yes, because if he used it then hell yeah, but I still don't think he did.
KillerK - October 24, 2006 08:58 PM (GMT)
No, Innocent until proven guilty.
And i doubt he gets a suspension.
win2day - October 24, 2006 09:00 PM (GMT)
I think he should be suspended, but I know it won't happen. If Bonds is still playing with all the evidence against him, Rogers isn't going anywhere. Its sad, but true. But personally, I think he should be, but the Player Union won't let it happen.
NYYanks21318 - November 3, 2006 01:08 AM (GMT)
Yeah, he was trying to get a ring he doesn't deserve.
Edgar For Mayor - November 16, 2006 04:09 AM (GMT)
It was dirt. I don't see how having pine tar on you PALM is going to make your piches any better, unless you have a palmball. Fingers, then I'd be a littel suspicious.
win2day - November 16, 2006 04:13 AM (GMT)
What the heck is this topic cropping up now?
My stance is still he cheated, and as to Edgar, I'm waaay to tired to explain it to you how pinetar anywhere can help, maybe some other day.
