Title: Good Bye Hafner

KillerB's - September 2, 2006 03:06 AM (GMT)
Bases loaded in a 6-2 Indians game in the 8th inning, Hafner at the plate, and he gets drilled in the hand by a 93 mph fastball from C.J. Wilson.

It was already completely purple and swollen when he left. That has to be broke. Early offseason for him.

Didn't he already break it, I forgot if he is tied or not.

Travis Hafner left Friday's game in the eighth inning after he was hit on the right hand by a pitch from C.J. Wilson.

X-rays were negative, so Hafner is day-to-day. There's a chance that he'll be ready to go on Saturday.

thank god

So much for "out for the season"

NateFizzle - September 2, 2006 05:19 PM (GMT)
Wow, it could have been worse. He still has a shot for another grand slam.

Tribe No 1 Fan - September 3, 2006 05:18 AM (GMT)
How could you guys say "out for season"??

Anyway, I look forward to see him in the lineup by Tuesday or Wednesday. ;)

I think this would put Garko in the DH spot for the time being.

hankaaron44 - September 10, 2006 12:22 PM (GMT)
It's a shame eh? Well, you got off on a slow start and your season doesn't really mean much so I guess you guys are shutting down Jeremy Sowers?

Crzy4cleveland - September 10, 2006 05:59 PM (GMT)
yep ..bye bye
