Open a new blank document, and find the picture you want to use, I will use Pedro Martinez.

Start off by duplicating the layer 3 times, so there are four in total (I will make the top ones invisible so you can tell what I am doing)

You can vary different steps, but this is how I did it.

Desaturate the bottom layer

Set the next layer to soft light at 100% opacity

Set the next layer to overlay at 100% opacity

For the last duplicate, put a large motion blur of 124 at a 0 degree angle.

Set that layer to linear dodge at 100% opacity

Next you want to take out some brushes, I used GrungeBrushZero from PSD Central, and brush lightly around your sig. Try to keep it off the player's face. I set mine at normal with a 40% opacity.

This next step is optional, but it is a nice touch. Make an inner stroke around your sig at 5 pixels black, set it to soft light and I did 33% opacity.

Then add your border and you are done.

I just set it to a different thing, and here are some examples with this tutorial:

Dodge was the best looking. When it says brush lightly around the sig, whatcolor are we supposed to use?
